Industrial aluminum powder coatings have the following characteristics compared to common liquid coatings:
(1) Rugged and durable. The powder coating may use a resin that is insoluble in a solvent at room temperature or a polymer resin that is not easily soluble and that cannot be liquidized to produce a high-performance coating of various functions. When no solvent is added or released during production, pinholes that penetrate through the coating are not easily formed, and a dense and durable coating can be obtained.
(2) Good resistance to chemical media. The molecular weight of the resin for the powder coating is higher than that of the solvent-based coating resin, and the chemical resistance of the coating is good.
(3) The thickness is easy to control. Powder coatings can be coated once to obtain a 50-300μm thick coating, which can reduce the number of coating channels, improve labor productivity, and save energy. And it is not easy to produce drip or stagnation when the liquid coating is thick-coated, and the surface of the industrial aluminum profile is less prone to pinholes and defects that cause thick coating.
(4) There are many varieties. Easy to adjust the color to meet the requirements of different users.
(5) The surface quality and pretreatment quality of industrial aluminum profiles are less stringent than anodizing and electrophoretic coating.
